Thoughts on a Sunday

With a five day week of office and also taking into account the travelling time how much can we finish the offline work at home. Moreover you have a kid and you need to keep in sync with the everyday activities you need to be prepared.Make use of the weekend may be just 1 hr of organizing your thoughts of what you need to do for the coming week .This will save all the stress and wipe out the words "What do I need to do wear for my office, what do I have to do for breakfast, dinner???"

Organising your wardrobe -Most important as one would always feel confident in the way they are dressed up and it definitely boosts confidence.Keep the 5 dresses separate and the necessary accessories. From my experience this saves you quite a bit of time in the morning.
Organising the meals for the day-May be you could have a timetable and have the necessary groceries as it would save ample time and everyday you could use the same time in cooking a delicious meal."Health is Wealth"
Sync with the kid in their school work-Make a list on what has to be taught ,prepare the material to enrich their knowledge.Take it from me this helps.A special bond with the child is built.
The time on a Sunday to organise your work will keep you happy for 5 days........
Try this and let me know if it really helps.

Some of the tips are very helpful, for example the bit about organising your weekly wardrobe and organising the menu for the week. Often a lot of precious time is spent after these rather mundane questions.

It would also help to provide a mix of vegetables and cereals to kids for the entire week, keeping in mind their nuitritional value. Adding a fruit in everyday diet is also a very good idea.

These days kids are very busy as well. Competition has increased manifold from former times. At the same time however, it would be nice to provide kids the chance to try their hands at varied activities, such as sports or any other creative arts. More than two activities at a time is an overhead on most kids. It helps also to pick a school closer to home.

Really effective tips .. I dont say that I am an expert in planning, but many a times I plan and feel that these types of planning helps a lot in our daily chores and save hell lot of time ..

For people like us where we have dual role to play - as a house wife and mother and also a career woman, there could be so many things which need to be done at home and at office .. Some organizing will help us a lot ..

Let me quote down something which I try to do in my day to day schedules ..

1. Organizing the wardrobe .. This is one of my to-do task which I do every sunday .. I think of the dress and as you said, will organize and keep the dress ready ..

The same applies for my daughters dress also (they dont have uniform now) .. I arrange and keep the dress ready so that I need not rush in the morning hours ..

2. Planning for the meals

I cut some vegetables and keep it in the fridge which helps me in preparting the food fast on a working day..

I prepare sprouts and keep it ready so that cooking will be easier ..

3. Also sunday, I plan a bit on the to-do tasks to be completed on monday in office .. But I will make sure that I dont spend too much time on that ..becoz I feel I should dedicate the time at home with my daughter ..

In short, some small planning and noting down the tasks will help us in many of the things ..

I try to note it down , means will write it down so that i dont leave anything ..

hey .. it was good to read this piece of article ..It made me think of what I am doing and also is thinking where all we can improve ..

Do keep posting your thoughts ..we wll share our ideas :)
